I loved this short romance and captivating tale. It was more than just Lillian and Noah getting it on, it was about her ability to let go of the past and step out of her comfort zone and into a something new and worthwhile. I loved this book. Lillian learns more than she bargained for from younger, former student. He helps her learn that she is worth the fight- as many of us are- and that she can move on after her late husband's passing. I recommend this book!
I absolutely LOVE this story. Yes, it is short, but every single bit of it satisfying. It's refreshing, romantic, touching and a definite MUST read for any fans of the genre.
Lillian lost her husband 5 years ago and has yet to move on in her personal life. She's an intelligent, beautiful 40 year old woman with needs that any woman, younger or older has. One of them being the company of another human being on a daily basis. She finally meets someone of interest, more an interest of friendship than anything else for various reasons. One being his age. What would she do with a 27 year old VERY handsome man being as old as she is(don't answer that)? The other reason, guilt. How can she move on if she's yet to let go of her husband?
I found myself going through a variety of emotions as I read A Flower Pot Christmas Tree. Happiness, sadness, anger, excitement and anticipation. I hope Brooklyn has many more works out there for me to read. I really enjoy her writing style and the way all words put on the pages can be felt )
